Description
Sphagnum peat moss produced and bagged by Nord Agri SIA in Latvia, EU, and supplied to Thailand as a pre-order by the full 40ft container. AZ Grow handles the import, customs clearance and coordination from Laem Chabang port through to your farm gate.
What is in the bag
100% raised bog peat, little to moderately decomposed (H2–H5), with more than 85% organic matter on dry mass. It arrives ready to plant into: carbonate lime has already lifted the pH from raw peat levels, an NPK fertiliser with trace elements is already mixed through, and a wetting agent is included so the peat takes up water evenly.
This means you do not lime it and you do not add a base dressing at the farm — that step is done at the factory. Build your feed programme on top of the figures below.
Two blends — and which one to order
Both are propagation substrates from Nord Agri's SEEDING line and both carry the same nutrient charge. What separates them is particle size, density and the container they are made for.

Which one to order. The two blends are the same price, so the choice follows the container you fill: trays of any type take the 80/20, pots up to 12 cm take the 30/70. Where the money changes is bag size — delivered to Bangkok the 250L works out at 2.92 ฿ per litre against 3.90 ฿ per litre for the 70L — and the 250L exists in 80/20 only, so a farm that needs 30/70 pays the 70L rate. Tell us the blend and bag size when you place the pre-order.
Sizes and container loading
70L bags — 1,152 bags per 40ft container, 80,640 L in total. With the 80/20 blend the container can take up to 1,326 bags, because the lighter blend fills the volume before it reaches the weight limit.
250L bags — 540 bags per 40ft container, 135,000 L in total, 80/20 blend.
Minimum order is one 40ft container. Mixed loads of 70L and 250L are quoted on request.
Pre-order, lead time and payment
This is a pre-order item, produced against your order in Latvia rather than taken from stock. Production runs 7–15 days after payment, and sea transport to Thailand takes a further 55–65 days, so plan the order about three months ahead of the season you need the peat for.
Payment is by bank transfer on order confirmation. The quoted figure covers CFR Laem Chabang, VAT, customs duty and handling. Port-to-farm transport is separate and paid directly to the transporter — 16,000 ฿ to Bangkok, 29,000 ฿ to Buriram, other provinces on request. Quotations are valid 30 days, and the EUR/THB rate is fixed at the moment of payment.
Handling and storage
The peat is compressed inside the bag. Open it, break the block apart and let the material expand before you fill trays or pots — filling with peat that is still compacted gives you less usable volume than you paid for and a denser root zone than you planned.
Moisten well before use. Dry peat repels water on first contact, so wet it in stages and mix until moisture is even through the whole batch, rather than pouring water onto the surface and assuming it has soaked through. The wetting agent in the mix helps this along but does not replace proper hydration.
Nord Agri's storage instruction: keep the packaging away from direct weather so it neither dries out nor gets wet, keep it out of direct sunlight, and close opened packs tightly. The declared nutrient figures apply at the time the manufacturer releases the batch and shift naturally during storage, so after long storage check nutrient content before use.

Nord Agri is on the Responsibly Produced Peat register of companies participating in the RPP Chain of Custody, registration RPP-19-0120 (category: peat). That registration covers the company rather than every individual batch, so if your export file needs RPP documentation for the peat you receive, ask us to confirm it against your consignment before production starts.
Each container ships with its own phytosanitary certificate covering that consignment, issued by Latvia's national plant protection authority. The cost is included in the quoted price — there is no separate document fee.
